Alhambra was not able to break out of their rough patch  on Friday as the team picked up their fourth straight  defeat. They took  a  27-20 hit to the loss column at the hands of the San Gabriel Matadors. The Moors were down  20-0 at the end of the third quarter, which was just too much to recover from.
Loss or not, Alhambra got some senior leadership from  Nero Navarro and  Halen Tsang.  Navarro gained 141 total yards and a touchdown, while  Tsang rushed for 64 yards and a pair of  TDs.incredibly,  Navarro got all that yardage with just one huge  run

 San Gabriel's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was   Noah Osorio, who picked up 142 receiving yards and two  scores. Osorio also put in work on the defensive side of the ball, making four total tackles and defending one pass.  Ricky Garcia was another key passer, throwing for 230 yards and three  touchdowns on only 15 passes.
Alhambra now  has a losing record of 4-5. As for San Gabriel,  the  victory made it two in a row for them and  bumps their season record up to 7-2.
 Alhambra didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next  contest,  a  57-0  win against Mark Keppel on the 31st. As for San Gabriel, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next  game,  a  54-36  defeat against Montebello on the 30th.
