Camp Hill made up a huge gap compared to their last game against Susquehanna Township, but they still couldn't quite topple them. Camp Hill put the hurt on Susquehanna Township with a sharp 14-2 win on Tuesday. With that victory, the Lions brought their scoring average up to 6.5 runs per game.
Lindsay Johnson was a standout: she went a perfect 4-for-4 with one home run, five RBI, and three runs. That home run marked the first that she launched this season. Payton Beck was another key player, scoring four runs and stealing a base while going 3-for-4.
Camp Hill always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .516. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.
Meanwhile, Trinity got themselves on the board against East Pennsboro on Tuesday, but East Pennsboro never followed suit. They blew past the Panthers 15-0. With that win, the Shamrocks brought their scoring average up to 6.8 runs per game.
Landry Murray looked comfortable as she pitched three innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit.
On the hitting side, Taylor Lawrence was incredible, going a perfect 3-for-3 with one home run, three runs, and four RBI. That's the most runs she has posted since back in May of 2024. Another player making a difference was Avery Robell, who scored a run while going 2-for-3.
Camp Hill's first victory this season bumped their record up to 1-3. As for Trinity, they now have a winning record of 3-2.
Thursday's contest will be a test for both teams' pitchers. Camp Hill hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .371. However, it's not like Trinity struggles in that department as they've averaged .326. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
Camp Hill might still be hurting after the 20-0 defeat they got from Trinity in their previous matchup back in May of 2024. Can Camp Hill avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
