The Eastmoor Academy Warriors's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Thursday after their fourth straight loss. Their tough 83-59 defeat to Mansfield Senior might stick with them for a while. When it comes to explaining why Eastmoor Academy lost, one person who can't be blamed is Elijah Watkins. Despite the final result, he scored 23 points. Those 23 points set a new season-high mark for him. Dekar Moultry was another key contributor, scoring six points along with eight rebounds and four blocks.
Kyevi Roane was his usual excellent self, scoring 22 points along with nine rebounds and four steals for Mansfield Senior. The match was Roane's sixth in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Dondreas Reese, who scored 15 points along with seven rebounds.

Eastmoor Academy will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Independence at 7:30 p.m. on January 5, 2024. Mansfield Senior won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against Wooster at 7:30 p.m. on December 22nd. One thing working in Wooster's favor is that they have posted big point totals in their last three matchups.
