Imhotep Charter extended the longest winning streak in Philadelphia Public - AA this week by beating Delaware Valley Charter, 48-0. The victory was the 10th in a row for the Panthers.
Imhotep Charter took down Delaware Valley Charter 48-0 last week, the largest margin of any game. Eerin Young ran for 78 yards and caught one passes for 31 yards in the win.
Albie Crosby's team's offense was tough to stop this week, as it produced the league's top passer, rusher and receiver. On the ground David Williams chipped in 106 yards. Nasir Bonner helped Imhotep Charter's passing attack out by catching one ball for 11 yards.
Andre Dreuitt put up the best numbers through the air as the Panthers beat Barry Thomas' team. He finished with four completions for 46 yards.
Imhotep Charter's offense has been unstoppable this season and the Panthers feature the season leaders in passing, rushing and receiving yards. Dreuitt has thrown for 725 yards and nine touchdowns this season, while Young has 15 catches for 337 yards. Williams leads the league in rushing with 1061 yards.
The top two teams in the league will face off this week when first place Imhotep Charter takes on second place Prep Charter. Imhotep Charter bested Delaware Valley Charter last week, while Prep Charter beat Germantown.
The Panthers' Young is a mere 73 yards away from breaking the 1,000-rushing-yards mark for the season. Young has rushed for 927 yards on 85 carries so far this year.
There should be lots of points scored when Imhotep Charter and Tony Beaty's team face off this week.
