The McKay Royal Scots were the 20-14 winner over the West Albany Bulldogs when they last played one another back in October of 2022, but their luck changed this time around. McKay took a 48-31 bruising from West Albany on Friday. This was one game where the offenses had no trouble playing at a high level.
West Albany's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Jarron Huebner, who rushed for 276 yards and two touchdowns. Lukas Hews was another key contributor, throwing for 219 yards and three touchdowns.
West Albany's defensive line stepped up as well, laying out the QB four times. McKay's QB won't forget Pena Moors anytime soon given Moors sacked him four times.
McKay's loss dropped their record down to 7-3. As for West Albany, their victory bumped their record up to 7-2.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. McKay will take on Hillsboro at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Hillsboro is coming into the contest hot, having won their last three games. As for West Albany, they will look to defend their home field on Friday against Caldera at 7:00 p.m. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Oregon (Caldera is ranked 35th, while West Albany is ranked 29th).
