The Little Axe Indians will head out on the road to face off against the Holdenville Wolverines at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
Little Axe couldn't capitalize on their home-court advantage in their season opener. They had to suffer through a rough 67-8 loss at the hands of Bethel.
Meanwhile, Holdenville took their match at home on Tuesday with ease, bagging a 79-34 win over Seminole. The contest was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 44-5.
Holdenville's success was spearheaded by the efforts of Belle Mcfarland, who scored 19 points, and Dah?myah Olden, who scored 19 points. Cylee Null was another key contributor, scoring 11 points.
Little Axe's loss dropped their record down to 0-1. As for Holdenville, their win bumped their record up to 1-0.
Little Axe was dealt a bruising 62-27 defeat at the hands of Holdenville when the teams last played back in February. Can Little Axe avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
