After flying high against the Early College Sharks last Tuesday, the Wilson Magnet Wildcats came back down to earth. Wilson Magnet fell just short of the Griffins by a score of 73-70. Wilson Magnet was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Griffins apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in December of 2022.
It was another big night for Diego Martinez, who scored 24 points along with two steals and two blocks for World of Inquiry. It was the first time this season that Martinez posted two or more blocks. Jaedon Adams was another key contributor, scoring 16 points along with two steals.
Wilson Magnet has been struggling recently as they've lost seven of their last nine matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-13 record this season. As for World of Inquiry, their win bumped their record up to 7-10.
Wilson Magnet will look to defend their home court on Wednesday against the Inventors at 6:30 p.m. As for World of Inquiry, they will head out on the road to face off against the Sharks at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Early College is coming into the contest on a five-game losing streak.
