The Strasburg Indians scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Saturday. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat Valley 109-46 on the road. Strasburg has made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won five games by 30 points or more this season.
Leading Strasburg to victory were Tyce Bollers and Austin Velasco. Bollers scored 27 points along with three steals, while Velasco dropped a double-double on 31 points and ten rebounds. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Velasco has scored all season. Another player making a difference was Nick Glatfelter, who scored 15 points along with five rebounds and two blocks.
The win was the fourth in a row for Strasburg, bringing their record for this year to 9-1. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 85.8 points per game. As for Valley, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-7.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Strasburg on the road again on Tuesday and play against Liberty Common at 7:00 p.m. on January 16th. Liberty Common is coming into the matchup on a four-game losing streak. As for Valley, they will head out on the road to square off against Eaton at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The timing is sure in Eaton's favor as the squad sits on three straight wins at home while Valley has been banged up by nine consecutive losses on the road dating back to last season.
