The Bishop Canevin Crusaders's road trip will continue as they head out to face Eden Christian Academy at 7:30 p.m. on February 6th. Bishop Canevin has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games.
Bishop Canevin pushed their score all the way to 62 on Saturday, but even that wasn't enough to win. They had to suffer through a rough 89-62 loss at the hands of Berlin Brothersvalley. While losing is never fun, Bishop Canevin can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Pennsylvania basketball rankings (they are ranked 335th, while the Mountaineers are ranked 77th).
Meanwhile, Eden Christian Academy had already won three in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 26.3 points), and they went ahead and made it four on Saturday. They walked away with a 67-55 victory over Quaker Valley. Having run the score up that high, both teams probably have some extra defensive drills coming up.
Bishop Canevin's defeat dropped their record down to 9-9. As for Eden Christian Academy, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won eight of their last nine contests, which provided a massive bump to their 10-7 record this season.
Bishop Canevin skirted past the 65-62 in their previous matchup back in January. The rematch might be a little tougher for Bishop Canevin since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
