The biggest upset of the week belonged to Burgard/Math Science Tech Prep at Seneca, who defeated 151st ranked Lewiston-Porter, 31-0. Amir Dennis ran for 86 yards in the win.
Fans got a thrill when Dan Brown and Kyle Barna connected against Akron. The connection went for 71 yards, the longest such play in Section 6 B - North this season.
Joe Nagy was the best running back in the league this week. In 21 carries, he ran for 215 yards as Amherst Central lost to Cheektowaga. Teammate Jimmy Chadwick added to the ground attack by rushing for 27 yards.
Jason Hellwig threw for 211 yards and 2 touchdowns. He went 17-30 with 1 interception.
Hellwig put up the best numbers in passing as Medina/Webber topped the Tigers. Hellwig's favorite target this week was Dylan Lewis, who caught 6 passes for 124 yards.
Nagy was a passing and rushing force as the Tigers beat Barker/Royalton-Hartland.
Blackmon was the best receiver in the league this week as the Purple Eagles lost to the Warriors. Blackmon tallied 7 receptions for 142 yards. Gary Moore helped Albion's passing attack out by catching 2 balls for 19 yards.
Nagy was a force in the backfield as Amherst Central bested the Raiders.
Medina/Webber's offense cannot be tamed this season and the Mustangs feature the season leaders in passing, rushing and receiving yards. Hellwig has thrown for 596 yards and 7 touchdowns this season, while Barna has 15 catches for 271 yards.
The top two teams in Section 6 B - North will face off this week when first place Medina/Webber takes on second place Burgard/Math Science Tech Prep at Seneca. The Mustangs bested Akron last week, while the Bulldogs beat the Lancers.
Fans will be treated to a premier battle in the secondary when Medina/Webber's Barna goes up against Burgard/Math Science Tech Prep at Seneca's Marquese Hampton.
Two of the top teams in the league will go toe-to-toe this week when Eric Valley's team takes on Jason Kolb's team. The Mustangs' offense has racked up 132 points this season, earning them the top spot in the league, while the Bulldogs have allowed only 0 on the year.
