Walker has played every game this season on their home court, but they'll have to hit the road on Friday. They will take on Drew Charter at 5:30 p.m. Walker comes in on a streak of failing to score more than 14 points in their last three games, a trend the team is of course eager to reverse.
It's never fun to lose, and it's even less fun to lose 53-13, which was the final score in Walker's tilt against Johnson Ferry Christian Academy on Friday.
Meanwhile, Drew Charter fought the good fight in their overtime match against South Atlanta on Saturday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They fell just short of the Hornets by a score of 43-40. Drew Charter's defeat continues a unfortunate trend for the squad, making it four in a row.
The loss doesn't tell the whole story though, as several players had good games. One of the most active was Anaysa Glover, who dropped a double-double on 12 points and 11 rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Shannilea Schliffer, who scored 13 points along with 5 steals.
Walker bumped their record down to 0-3 with that loss, which was their third straight at home. Those losses could be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they only averaged 11.7 points per game. As for Drew Charter, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-7.
