Baseball Recap: Delmar Has No Trouble Against Milford

Delmar barely beat Milford the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Wildcats were the clear victors by a 16-2 margin over the Buccaneers on Tuesday. The result was nothing new for the Wildcats, who have now won six matchups by six runs or more so far this season.

Delmar is on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five games. That's provided a nice bump to their 7-4 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.4 runs on average over those games. As for Milford, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-6.

Looking ahead, Delmar will head out to face off against Sussex Central at 4:15 p.m. on Thursday. The Golden Knights have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 6.71 runs per game on average), something the Wildcats will no doubt try to take advantage of. As for Milford, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Woodbridge at 4:15 p.m. on Thursday. The Buccaneers' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Raiders have averaged an impressive 8.3 runs per game this season.
