It was fun while it lasted, but McGehee's undefeated season came to an end after five games on Thursday. They came up short against the Newman Greenies, falling 13-7. The game marked the Hawks' lowest-scoring match so far this season.

Having lost for the first time this season, McGehee fell to 5-1. As for Newman, they now have a winning record of 5-4.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. McGehee will square off against Cabrini at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Newman, they will challenge University Lab at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. University Lab has struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 10.2 runs per game on average), something Newman will no doubt try to take advantage of.
