Southwest's Lake Crowe rumbled for the longest rushing play in Platte Valley (8 Man) this season in his game against Norborne last week. Crowe scampered for 33 yards on the play and finished with 101 on the day as his team beat the Pirates.
Southwest took down Norborne 92-0 last week, the largest margin of any game. Ethan Crowe threw for 83 yards and ran for 190 yards in the win.
Southwest's offense cannot be tamed this season and the Wildcats feature the season leaders in passing, rushing and receiving yards. Crowe has thrown for 338 yards and 7 touchdowns this season, while Crowe has 15 catches for 243 yards. Crowe also leads the league in rushing with 616 yards.
The marquee game in the league this week will be the clash between South Nodaway and DeKalb. The Longhorns enters the contest ranked 14th in the state, while the Tigers ranks eighth.
