Football Recap: Osceola Extends Winning Streak to Five

Osceola extended their winning streak to five games thanks to a huge performance from Daniella Buttacavoli. Osceola took down the Pinellas Park Patriots 20-6 on Thursday with plenty of help from Buttacavoli, who threw for 153 yards and three touchdowns, and also rushed for 38 yards. That's the most passing touchdowns she has posted since March 3rd.

Osceola didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off four passes before the game was over. The picks came courtesy of Ally Brady and Holland Downey.

Osceola pushed their record up to 9-5 with the win, which was their fourth straight at home. Those victories came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 3.0 points on average over those games. As for Pinellas Park, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 4-6.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Osceola will venture away from home to square off against Plant at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Osceola is facing Plant at the right time seeing as Plant is stuck on an eight-game losing streak. As for Pinellas Park, they will square off against Boca Ciega at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
