Softball Recap: North Davidson Picks Up Third Consecutive Win

North Davidson had already won two in a row and they went ahead and made it three on Friday. They never let the Montgomery Central Timberwolves get on the board and left with a 10-0 victory. The Black Knights might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won seven matchups by six runs or more this season.

The result came thanks to Rileigh Barker's shutout, as she gave up just three hits and racked up six Ks.

On the hitting side, Heidi Barker and Katelyn Sears did most of the damage at the plate: Heidi scored a run while going 4-for-4, while Sears scored four runs and stole a base while going 2-for-3. Those four hits gave Barker a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Paisley Dorton, who scored a run while going 2-for-3.

North Davidson's record is now 12-5. As for Montgomery Central, their defeat was their fourth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 8-8.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. North Davidson will challenge Oak Grove at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Montgomery Central, they will take on Pinecrest at 6:00 p.m. on Monday.
