The Faith Christian Patriots will be playing in front of their home fans against the Harrells Christian Academy Crusaders at 7:30 p.m. on Monday. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.
Faith Christian posted their biggest victory since December 2, 2023 on Friday. They breezed by Kerr-Vance Academy on the road to the tune of 69-17. With Faith Christian ahead 43-13 at the half, the game was all but over already.
Michael Grant was his usual excellent self, scoring 20 points. Gavin Johnson was another key contributor, scoring ten points.
Meanwhile, Harrells Christian Academy humbled Halifax Academy with a 71-36 victory. Given Harrells Christian Academy's advantage in MaxPreps' North Carolina basketball rankings (they are ranked 177th, while Halifax Academy is ranked 592nd), the result on Friday wasn't entirely unexpected.
The win makes it two in a row for Faith Christian and bumps their season record up to 10-5. As for Harrells Christian Academy, their victory bumped their record up to 14-10.
Faith Christian took a serious blow against Harrells Christian Academy in their previous matchup back in January of 2023, falling 65-20. Thankfully for Faith Christian, Ethan Spell (who scored 12 points along with nine assists and five steals) won't be suiting up this time. Will that be enough to change the final result?
