Basketball Recap: Nigeir Fisher's Big Game Can't Quite Lead Bodine over Central

Bodine lost against Central back in December of 2023, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. Bodine received a blow as they fell 68-50 to the Central Lancers. Bodine has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Several Bodine players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Nigeir Fisher, who posted 19 points. The game was Fisher's third in a row with at least ten points. Marvin Wells was another key player, going 5 for 11 on his way to 13 points.

It was another big night for Yamir Knight-Parker, who went 12 of 20 on his way to 35 points in addition to five rebounds and four steals for Central. That's the most points Knight-Parker has posted since back in December of 2023. The team also got some help courtesy of Carl Bien-Aime, who went 6 of 12 on his way to 13 points and three blocks.

Bodine's loss dropped their record down to 1-3. As for Central, they moved to 1-3 with that victory, which also ended their five-game losing streak.

Bodine didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 63-44 win against Franklin Towne on the 10th. As for Central, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 51-46 defeat against Maritime Academy Charter on the 9th.
