If the DASH United were riding high off their 71-42 takedown of the Eastern North Carolina School for the Deaf Fighting Hornet last Tuesday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. DASH was dealt a 88-34 defeat at the hands of Chatham HomeSchool on Thursday. The defeat unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for DASH in their matchups with Chatham HomeSchool: they've now lost seven in a row.
Chatham HomeSchool's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Zach Johnson, who scored 19 points. Johnson continues to roll, besting his previous point total in each of the last four games he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Luke Coletta, who scored nine points along with nine rebounds and three steals.
DASH has not been sharp recently, as they've lost eight of their last ten games, which put a noticeable dent in their 7-9 record this season. As for Chatham HomeSchool, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 15-9.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. DASH's road trip will continue as they head out to face Eastern Christian HomeSchool at 7:00 p.m. on January 23rd. As for Chatham HomeSchool, they will challenge Oak Forest at 8:00 p.m. on Saturday.
