The Denver West Cowboys won the last time they faced the Lincoln Lancers, and things went their way on Saturday too. Denver West blew past Lincoln, posting a 55-22 win at home.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Denver West to victory, but perhaps none more so than Jenny Ruano, who scored 15 points along with 5 assists and 4 steals. Ruano is on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now stole two or more in the last three games she's played. Celeste Marquez was another key contributor, scoring 12 points along with 4 steals.
The victory got Denver West back to even at 2-2. As for Lincoln, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 2-2.
Denver West will square off against DSST: College View at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. DSST: College View comes in on a streak of failing to score more than 24 points in their last three games, a trend the squad is of course eager to reverse. As for Lincoln, they will head out on the road to face off against Bruce Randolph at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
