Columbiana entered their tilt with David Anderson on Wednesday with two consecutive wins, and they'll enter their next game with three. They came out on top against the Blue Devils by a score of 8-5. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 12-4 last Monday.

Nick Klindworth looked comfortable as he pitched three innings while giving up just one earned (and three unearned) runs off three hits. He has been consistent recently: he hasn't given up more than one walk in four consecutive appearances.

At the plate, Avery Young was incredible, scoring two runs and stealing a base while going 3-for-4. What's more, he posted two RBI, the most he's had since back in April of 2024. The team also got some help courtesy of Ethan Lehnerd, who scored two runs and stole a base while going 2-for-3.

Columbiana was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .385. That was just more of the same: they've now posted a batting average of .351 or higher in three consecutive games.

Columbiana now has a winning record of 4-3. As for David Anderson, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-4.

Looking ahead, Columbiana is taking a road trip to face off against Howland at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. The Clippers will need to watch out since the Tigers have now posted at least ten runs in their last three contests. As for David Anderson, they will square off against Chaney at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday.
