The Van Horn Eagles won the last time they faced the Fort Davis Indians, and things went their way on Tuesday too. Van Horn came out on top against Fort Davis by a score of 36-26. The victory made it back-to-back wins for Van Horn.
It was another big night for Taylor Martinez, who dropped a double-double on 16 points and 12 rebounds. She hasn't dropped below ten rebounds for five straight games. Malia Bermudez was another key contributor, scoring five points along with two steals and two blocks.
Van Horn is on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last eight matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 18-8 record this season. As for Fort Davis, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-7.
Van Horn will head out on the road to challenge Fort Hancock at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Hopefully Van Horn focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 21 on Tuesday. Fort Davis does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
