The Riverdale Baptist Crusaders will be taking part in a tournament against the South Wake Sabres at 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday.
Things were looking good for Riverdale Baptist after they put the first run on the board on Thursday, but unfortunately for them things went downhill from there. They took a 6-3 hit to the loss column at the hands of Southern Maryland Christian Academy.
RILEY BLOUNT was huge while hitting and pitching even without the win. He struck out 11 batters over six innings while giving up just one earned (and five unearned) runs off three hits. BLOUNT was also solid in the batter's box, going 2-for-3 with two runs and one stolen base. He has been hot recently, having posted at least one stolen base the last four times he's played.

In other batting news, DIXON MONK was cooking despite his team's loss, going 2-for-4 with one stolen base, two RBI, and one double. He is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as he's now snagged at least one in each of the last six games he's played. KADEN COLBERT also deserves some recognition as he hit his first double of the season.
Meanwhile, South Wake narrowly escaped with a win as the team sidled past DASH 5-3. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Sabres.
Caden Collins was incredible, going a perfect 2-for-2 with one home run, two runs, and one stolen base.
Riverdale Baptist's loss dropped their record down to 12-7. As for South Wake, their victory bumped their record up to 8-13.
