New Covenant had a senior duo take command as Luke Libbey scored 19 points along with 4 steals and Douglas Powell scored 17 points along with 5 rebounds. The contest was Powell's fourth in a row with at least ten points. Rusty Hooks was another key contributor, scoring 7 points along with 11 rebounds.
Chelsea Academy's loss dropped their record down to 0-2. As for New Covenant, the win for they keeps them at an undefeated 4-0.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Chelsea Academy will take on Highland at 1:30 p.m. on Saturday. As for New Covenant, they will head out on the road to face off against Grace Christian at 4:30 p.m. on Saturday. Hopefully Grace Christian focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 16 on Friday.
