 In other batting news,  Jenna Maki was  incredible,  going 1-for-2 with a  home run, three  RBI,  and two  runs.
 Ishpeming's win bumped their record up to 13-10. As for L'Anse, they are  on  a  seven-game losing streak  (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-3.
 The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: Ishpeming beat L'Anse by a score of  15-0 later that day.
