The Chapin Eagles are taking a road trip to  challenge the Dutch Fork Silver Foxes  at 7:30  p.m.  on Friday. Chapin is coming into the  matchup on  a  three-game losing streak.
On Wednesday, Chapin had to suffer through a   71-41 loss at the hands of Irmo.
Meanwhile,  Dutch Fork unfortunately witnessed the end of their  four-game winning streak on Tuesday. They were just a bucket shy of victory  and fell  49-48 to River Bluff.
Chapin will need focus on slowing down  Caleb Garner, one of several Dutch Fork players who made an impact when they last played. He  posted 15  points and seven  rebounds. That's the most  boards  Garner has posted since back in November of 2023.  Bryson Taylor was another key player,  putting up 17 points.
 Even though they lost, Dutch Fork  smashed the offensive glass and  finished the game with ten  offensive rebounds. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now  pulled down at least nine  offensive boards in seven consecutive  games.
 Chapin's loss dropped their record down to 8-13. As for Dutch Fork, their  defeat was their first in the region, dropping their region record down to 4-1 and their overall record down to 14-6.
 Chapin suffered a grim  68-47 defeat to Dutch Fork  when the teams last played  on January 9th. That  contest was all but decided by halftime, at which point Chapin was down  46-25.
