Given Immaculate Conception's advantage in MaxPreps' New Jersey basketball rankings (they are ranked 17th, while Seton Hall Prep is ranked 103rd), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Meanwhile, Central ended up a good deal behind Arts on Tuesday and lost 71-52. Central has not had much luck with Arts recently, as the team's come up short the last four times they've met.
Immaculate Conception is on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven contests, which provided a nice bump to their 14-6 record this season. As for Central, their defeat was their 11th straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 9-12.
Everything came up roses for Immaculate Conception against Central when the teams last played back in January as the squad secured a 87-39 victory. One of the biggest obstacles the team faced in that game was Central's Malachi Thomas, who scored 23 points.
