In what's become a running theme this season, the Captain Shreve Gators gave their fans yet another huge victory on Tuesday. They breezed by Haughton at home to the tune of 56-22. The victory was familiar territory for Captain Shreve who now have three in a row.
Captain Shreve got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Marcus Lofton out in front who scored 12 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Ejoshua Mcdonald, who scored nine points along with three steals.
Captain Shreve is on a roll lately: they've won 15 of their last 18 matches, which provided a nice bump to their 23-5 record this season. As for Haughton, they are on a ten-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 9-19.
Captain Shreve will head out on the road to face off against Byrd at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Hopefully Captain Shreve is not getting complacent, as they presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Byrd in Louisiana (Captain Shreve is ranked 78th, while Byrd is ranked 1082nd). As for Haughton, they will look to defend their home court on Friday against Parkway at 6:00 p.m. Haughton is coming into the matchup with six straight defeats at home, meaning Parkway will have to defend against a team hungry for a victory.
