Capistrano Valley Christian added to the longest winning streak in San Joaquin this week by beating Santa Clarita Christian, 36-33. This was the team's eighth consecutive win.
Saddleback Valley Christian took down Fairmont Prep 35-20 last week, the largest margin of any game. Jake Markum threw for 295 yards and 3 touchdowns and ran for 10 yards in the win.
Capistrano Valley Christian's offense was unstoppable this week, as it produced the league's top passer, rusher and receiver. Riley Babick threw for 431 and 3 touchdowns and Sam Sukut had 226 yards receiving. On the ground Sukut chipped in 99 yards. Mike Updegraff helped Capistrano Valley Christian's passing attack out by catching 11 balls for 141 yards.
Sukut had a great week catching the football as Dan Dodd's team defeated the Cardinals. He caught 9 passes for 226 yards.
He was 28-48 with 1 interception.
Sukut was the best running back in the league this week. In 18 carries, he ran for 99 yards as the Eagles topped Santa Clarita Christian.
Capistrano Valley Christian's offense has been unstoppable this season and the Eagles feature the season leaders in passing, rushing and receiving yards. Babick has thrown for 1,954 yards and 27 touchdowns this season, while Ben Sukut has 53 catches for 705 yards.
At the moment, the Warriors are in second, while Garrick Moss' team is in third.
