Whitley Shows made a big impact no matter where she played. She struck out ten batters over seven innings while giving up five earned runs off six hits. That's the most strikeouts she has posted since back in March of 2025. She was also big at the plate, going a perfect 3-for-3 with four stolen bases, one run, and one RBI. With that strong performance, she is now averaging an impressive 1.1 stolen bases per game.

In other batting news, Mylie Mcdougal was incredible, going 2-for-4 with one home run, four RBI, and two runs. She is also on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as she's now snagged at least one in each of the last three games she's played. Jayleigh Potts was another key player, going a perfect 4-for-4 with four stolen bases and three runs.
Texas Wind kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 12 hits. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now got at least 12 hits in four consecutive games.
Fans were treated to a battle of the Panthers last Friday. Abbott lost 8-2 to Mart. The defeat continues a trend for Abbott in their meetings with Mart: they've now lost three in a row.
Dinah Kaska made the most of her time in the batter's box despite the final result and got on base in all four of her plate appearances with one run. Another player making a difference was Syndey Balderas, who went 1-for-4 with one triple and two RBI.
Texas Wind pushed their record up to 11-15-1 with the win, which was their fourth straight at home. Those home victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 17.3 runs over those games. As for Abbott, their loss dropped their record down to 3-7.
