It's never fun to lose, and it's even less fun to lose 84-26, which was the final score in Laquey's tilt against the Lions on Monday. While losing is never fun, Laquey can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Missouri basketball rankings (they are ranked 504th, while the Lions are ranked 168th).
Meanwhile, Calvary Lutheran suffered a tough 72-49 defeat at the hands of the Hornets on Tuesday. Calvary Lutheran was down 57-33 at the end of the third quarter, which was just too much to recover from.
Laquey's loss was their eighth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 3-14. As for Calvary Lutheran, they have been struggling recently as they've lost seven of their last eight matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 6-11 record this season.
Laquey might still be hurting after the 51-30 loss they got from the Lions in their previous matchup back in January of 2020. Can Laquey avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
