Green Mountain has gone a perfect 6-0 against Pomona recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Thursday. The Rams are taking a road trip to challenge the Panthers at 4:00 p.m. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, these teams will really light up the scoreboard.
Green Mountain is headed out in good spirits considering the team just ended their winless streak on the road against Littleton on Tuesday. The Rams blew past the Lions 11-1. The Rams haven't had any issues with the Lions recently, as the game was their eighth consecutive win against them.
Cooper Jones tossed a big game, striking out six batters over five innings while giving up just one earned run off four hits (and not a single walk). He has been consistent recently: he hasn't given up more than one earned run in three consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, Pierson Drake was incredible, going 2-for-3 with three stolen bases and three runs. He has become a key player for Green Mountain: the team is 2-1 when he posts at least two runs, but 0-8 otherwise. Corbin Wade also deserves some recognition as he hit his first double of the season.
Pomona came out on top against Wheat Ridge on Tuesday thanks in part to the team's impressive five-run fourth inning. The Panthers put the hurt on the Farmers with a sharp 10-3 victory.
Tyler Dempsy looked comfortable as he pitched two innings while giving up no earned runs off two hits.
At the plate, Pomona let Victor Cafaro Jr. and Riley Biesk run wild. Cafaro Jr. went 2-for-3 with two stolen bases and two runs, while Biesk went 1-for-3 with three stolen bases and two runs. Another player making a difference was Tavin Caldwell, who went 2-for-4 with two stolen bases and one RBI.
Pomona kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 13 hits. That's the most hits they've posted since back in May of 2025.
Pomona's record now sits at 4-5. As for Green Mountain, they picked up their first road win, bumping their record up to 2-9.
Green Mountain was able to grind out a solid victory over Pomona in their previous meeting back in May of 2025, winning 8-3. Do the Rams have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Panthers turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
