Jadyn Johnson (2026) made a splash no matter where she played. On the mound, she didn't allow a single earned run while striking out eight over five innings pitched. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't tossed less than eight strikeouts in three consecutive appearances. She was also stellar in the batter's box, going 3-for-4 with four RBI, one triple, and one double.
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Khloe Gaffin (2028), who went 2-for-4 with two stolen bases, three RBI, and two runs. Those two stolen bases gave her a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Jabria Bickerstaff (2026), who went 2-for-3 with two runs, one stolen base, and one RBI.
Northmont hit smart and finished the game with only two strikeouts. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Beavercreek struck out eight times.

Springfield's pitching crew has a crucial task ahead of them: Northmont has been making plenty of contact this season, having averaged 9.2 hits per game. It's a different story for Springfield, though, as they've been averaging 10 hits. Given Northmont's sizable advantage in that area, the Wildcats will need to find a way to close that gap.
Northmont got the 'W' in their previous meeting back in April of 2025 against Springfield by a conclusive 8-1 score. Do the Thunderbolts have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Wildcats turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
