Baseball Game Preview: Linden Lions vs. Bret Harte Bullfrogs

For the second straight game, Linden will face off against Bret Harte. The Lions are taking a road trip to square off against the Bullfrogs at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. Linden will be looking to extend their current 11-game winning streak.

The home team had won the previous four meetings between Linden and Bret Harte, and Linden kept the tradition alive. The Lions walked away with an 8-3 win over the Bullfrogs on Tuesday.

Marco Holguin made a big impact no matter where he played. On the mound, he tossed two innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. He has been consistent for a while: he hasn't given up more than one earned run in ten consecutive appearances. He was also solid in the batter's box, getting on base in three of his four plate appearances with two RBI.

In other pitching news, Justin Sales tossed a big game, pitching five innings while giving up just two earned (and one unearned) runs off four hits. He has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than two walks in 13 consecutive appearances.

Back at the plate, the team relied heavily on Brody Black, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with four runs and two doubles. Those four runs gave him a new career-high.
