KURTZ has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't  pitched less than five  innings every time she's  pitched this season. KURTZ was also big at the plate,  going 1-for-3 with a  stolen base and  an  RBI.
 KURTZ wasn't  the only one making solid contact as  seven players wound up with at least one hit. One of them was  AVA BONSHOCK, who  went 1-for-1 with two  RBI.
 Even though they lost, Shamokin Area  hit smart and  finished the game with only one  strikeout. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Our Lady of Lourdes Regional struck out seven times.
 Like Shamokin Area, Our Lady of Lourdes Regional also got a great game from a two-way player:  Hailee Brown. She looked comfortable on the mound,   pitching seven innings while giving up just two earned  (and two unearned) runs off   seven  hits. Brown was also solid in the batter's box,  going 3-for-4 with a  triple, a  run,  and a  double.
 In other batting news,  Arianna Adams was  excellent,  scoring a  run and  stealing a base while going 2-for-3.
 Shamokin Area's loss dropped their record down to 6-2. As for Our Lady of Lourdes Regional, they have  been performing  well recently as they've  won three of their last four contests,  which provided a massive bump to their 5-5 record  this season.
 Shamokin Area will be playing at home against Montoursville at 4:30  p.m.  on Tuesday. Shamokin Area will be looking to keep their seven-game home win streak  dating back to last season alive. As for Our Lady of Lourdes Regional, they will head out on the road to  square off against  Pine Grove at 7:00  p.m.  on Monday. Pine Grove's pitching crew has only allowed two  runs per game  this season, so Our Lady of Lourdes Regional's hitters will have their work cut out for them.
