Basketball Game Preview: Bloomingdale Bulls vs. Armwood Hawks

Bloomingdale is 8-2 against Armwood since November of 2014 and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Saturday. The Bloomingdale Bulls will square off against the Armwood Hawks. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.

Bloomingdale is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Thursday. They blew past Gaither, posting a 69-14 victory. The win was familiar territory for the Bulls who have now won six matchups in a row.

Bloomingdale found their leader in sophomore Jayla Griffin, who almost dropped a double-double on 16 points and nine rebounds. Griffin is also on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed two or more in the last seven games she's played. Another player making a difference was Kalese Salter, who went 5 for 9 on her way to 11 points and five steals.

Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Armwood, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Friday. They took their contest on Thursday with ease, bagging a 55-17 victory over Tampa Bay Tech. With the Hawks ahead 34-6 at the half, the game was all but over already.

Bloomingdale better keep an eye on Jaliyah Bandy. She was instrumental in Armwood's win, putting up 13 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Zhyaire Robinson, who posted nine points.

Armwood pushed their record up to 17-5 with the win, which was their ninth straight at home. Those victories came thanks to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 22.9 points per game. As for Bloomingdale, they are on a roll lately: they've won eight of their last nine matches, which provided a nice bump to their 19-5 record this season.
