The Imani Christian Academy Saints scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Friday. They blew past St. Joseph 98-21 on the road. For those curious, yes, that was the biggest win Imani Christian Academy has managed all season.
It was another big night for Nate Brazil, who scored 24 points along with six assists and six steals. Those six assists set a new season-high mark for him. Tristen Brown was another key contributor, scoring 12 points along with seven steals and five assists.
St. Joseph's defeat came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Gabe Maltese, who scored eight points. Another player making a difference was Cole Spencer, who scored six points.
Perhaps unsurprisingly given the score, St. Joseph struggled to get the ball back on offense and finished the game with only an offensive rebound. They were crushed by their opponents in that department as Imani Christian Academy pulled down 20 offensive rebounds.
Imani Christian Academy pushed their record up to 3-4 with that win, which was their fifth straight on the road dating back to last season. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 81.8 points per game. As for St. Joseph, they still haven't won a game yet this season and fell to 0-10.
Imani Christian Academy will head out on the road to face off against Aquinas Academy at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Aquinas Academy will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Pennsylvania Rankings (they are ranked 360th, while Imani Christian Academy is ranked 128th). As for St. Joseph, they will look to defend their home court on Monday against Hillel Academy at 7:30 p.m.
