Girard's game  last Thursday was a  loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them  on Thursday. They came out on top against the Rootstown Rovers by a score of  3-1.

Girard found their leader in sophomore  Chloe Plant, who  had eight  digs and one  block. Plant also set a new season-high mark in  assists with 40.
 Girard  was lethal from the service line and  finished the match with 18  aces. That's the most  aces they've posted since back in September.
 When it comes to explaining why Rootstown lost, don't look at  Addie Biggin. Despite the final result, she  had 38  digs. Biggin has been hot for a while, having  posted 11 or more  digs the last 12 times she's  played.
Girard's win  ended  a  four-match drought on the road  and  puts them at 8-15. As for Rootstown, they now  have a losing record of 11-12.
 Coming up, Girard will head out to  take on Columbiana  at 7:00  p.m.  on Tuesday. The Indians are facing the Clippers at the right time seeing as the Clippers are stuck on  a  three-game losing streak. Rootstown does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
