The North Star Cougars will face off against the Everett Warriors at 12:00  p.m.  on Friday. The two teams have allowed few  points on average, (North Star: 9.6, Everett: 18) so any  points scored will be well earned.
 North Star is headed in fresh off scoring the most  points they have all season. They blew past Windber, posting  a  44-8 victory at home. Perhaps unsurprisingly given the team's high-flying offense, the game also marked the team's biggest  win of the  season.
 North Star found their leader in underclassman  Kasey Yoder, who threw for 218 yards and three touchdowns while completing 73.9% of his passes, and also rushed for 66 yards and a touchdown. Yoder got the majority of those rushing yards when he took off on a run that went for an incredible 57 yards.  Cash Hawkins was  Yoder's top target, picking up 91 receiving yards and a touchdown.
 Perhaps unsurprisingly given the score, North Star was unstoppable on the ground and  finished the game with 216  rushing yards. That's the most  rushing yards they've posted since back in September of 2023.
 Meanwhile, Everett was not able to break out of their rough patch  on Friday as the team picked up their third straight  loss. They came up short against  Clear Spring, falling  30-6. While losing is never fun, the Warriors can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage  in MaxPreps' football rankings in their respective home states  (they are ranked 462nd in Pennsylvania, while the Blazers are ranked 142nd in Maryland).
 Despite the  defeat, Everett got top-tier performance from   Jakobe Harman, who rushed for 245 yards and a touchdown while picking up 9.4 yards per carry. Harman's rushing production has been exceptional recently as that marked his fifth straight game with at least 101  rushing yards dating back to last season.
 The  victory made it two in a row for North Star and  bumps their season record up to 4-1. As for Everett, they now  have a losing record at 2-3.
