Basketball Recap: Chatham Skates Past Brookville with Ease

A well-balanced attack led Chatham over Brookville in every quarter on their way to victory on Wednesday. Given that consistent dominance, it should come as no surprise that the Chatham Cavaliers blew the Brookville Bees out of the water with a 44-12 final score. The game was all but wrapped up at the end of the third, by which point the Cavaliers had established a 31 point advantage.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Chatham to victory, but perhaps none more so than Jakiyah Giggetts, who dropped a double-double on 17 points and ten boards. The contest was Giggetts' sixth in a row with at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Sydney Ward, who dropped a double-double on 19 points and 11 boards.

Chatham pushed their record up to 2-0 with the win, which was their fifth straight at home dating back to last season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 53.4 points per game. As for Brookville, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 0-2.
