Baseball Recap: Ayden - Grifton Extends Home Winning Streak to Seven

Ayden - Grifton entered their tilt with New Bern on Tuesday with two consecutive wins, and they'll enter their next game with three. They came out on top against the Bears by a score of 8-4.

Brysen Williams made a splash while hitting and pitching. On the mound, he tossed 2.2 innings while giving up no earned runs off three hits. Williams was also solid in the batter's box, going 1-for-3 with one run and one RBI.

In other batting news, Parker Roland was incredible, going 2-for-3 with one home run and three RBI. Those three RBI gave him a new career-high. Connor Loftin was another key player, going 2-for-3 with one run and one RBI.

Ayden - Grifton pushed their record up to 16-5 with the victory, which was their seventh straight at home. The home wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 8.6 runs over those games. As for New Bern, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 11-9.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Ayden - Grifton will challenge Voyager Academy at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. As for New Bern, they will square off against D.H. Conley at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. The Bears will need to watch out since the Vikings have now posted at least ten runs in their last eight games.
