Softball Recap: Seminary Wins Going Away Against Raleigh

Seminary hadn't done well against Raleigh recently (they were 0-7 in their previous seven matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Monday. The Seminary Bulldogs blew past the Raleigh Lions 11-4. Considering the Bulldogs have won six matchups by more than six runs this season, Monday's blowout was nothing new.

Seminary has been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six contests. That's provided a massive bump to their 7-7 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.5 runs on average over those games. Raleigh dropped their record down to 3-11 with the loss, which was their third straight at home.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Seminary will head out to challenge West Marion at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. Each of these teams will be fighting to keep a win streak alive as West Marion comes in on 11 and Seminary on four. As for Raleigh, they are taking a road trip to face off against Taylorsville at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Raleigh is facing Taylorsville at the right time seeing as Taylorsville is stuck on a 14-game losing streak.
