The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Fort Wayne Wayne has scored all season.
Fort Wayne Wayne's defeat came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Jamya Turner, who scored six points along with five rebounds and two steals. Turner also posted two blocks for the first time this season. Another player making a difference was Jahliyah Robinson, who scored four points along with six steals.
Leading Fort Wayne Concordia Lutheran to victory were Alivia Bolinger and Cella Kaiser. Bolinger scored 18 points along with seven rebounds and seven blocks, while Kaiser scored 17 points along with six rebounds and four steals. Bolinger is on a roll when it comes to blocks, as she's now posted two or more in the last four games she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Lauren Goodman, who scored three points along with seven assists.
Fort Wayne Wayne dropped their record down to 8-15 with that loss, which was their fifth straight on the road. As for Fort Wayne Concordia Lutheran, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 9-13.
Fort Wayne Wayne will be staying on the road on Tuesday to face off against Columbia City at 6:00 p.m. on January 30th. Columbia City will roll in looking for their tenth straight victory, something Fort Wayne Wayne surely won't give up without a fight. As for Fort Wayne Concordia Lutheran, they will face off against Angola at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Hopefully Angola focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up ten on Tuesday.
