Basketball Recap: Southeast Alamance Piles Up the Points Against Bartlett Yancey

Southeast Alamance won the last time they faced Bartlett Yancey and things went their way on Monday too. The Southeast Alamance Stallions blew past the Bartlett Yancey Buccaneers, posting a 73-45 victory. The Stallions have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won ten matches by 21 points or more this season.

Cardell West had a dynamite game for Southeast Alamance, going 10-for-12 on his way to 24 points in addition to five boards and four steals. West is also on a roll when it comes to shooting accuracy, as he's posted one of at least 50% in the last six games he's played. Jerry Sims was another key player, dropping a double-double with ten points and 12 rebounds.

Southeast Alamance was working as a unit and finished the game with 19 assists. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Bartlett Yancey only four assists.

Bartlett Yancey lost despite a true team effort on offense. The best among them was Trey Diggs, who went 6-for-12 to rack up 15 points and seven boards. The team also got some help courtesy of Jaden Carolina, who dropped a double-double with ten points and 13 rebounds.

Southeast Alamance is on a roll lately: they've won eight of their last nine contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 20-5 record this season. Bartlett Yancey dropped their record down to 6-15 with the defeat, which was their sixth straight on the road.

Southeast Alamance wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, a 51-49 win against Chatham Central on the 18th. Bartlett Yancey does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
