The Coventry Oakers came tearing into Wednesday's contest with four straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 14.8 points) and they left with even more momentum. Everything went their way against Tiverton as Coventry made off with a 59-36 win. That 23 points margin sets a new team best for Coventry this season.
Logan Voelker continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, dropping a double-double on 17 points and 12 rebounds. Voelker is absolutely dominating the rebound category: he's posted at least eight every time he's taken the court this season. The team also got some help courtesy of Tyler Broady, who scored 11 points along with eight rebounds.
Coventry has been performing well recently as they've won seven of their last nine matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 7-5 record this season. As for Tiverton, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 3-13.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Coventry will take on Hope at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Hope has now lost seven straight, and the team is hunting for their first win since January 2. As for Tiverton, they will head out on the road to square off against Shea at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Shea will be looking to extend their current four-game winning streak.
