The North Central Eagles lost against the Montpelier Locomotives back in February, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. North Central took a hard 63-48 fall against Montpelier. That's two games in a row now that North Central has lost by exactly 15 points.
Despite the loss, North Central still got an impressive performance from Joe Burt, who scored 19 points along with seven steals. Those seven steals set a new season-high mark for him. Another player making a difference was Trenton Douglass, who scored eight points.
North Central's defeat was their fourth straight on the road, which bumped their record down to 2-4. As for Montpelier, the win got them back to even at 3-3.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. North Central will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Gorham Fayette at 6:00 p.m. on January 2, 2024. As for Montpelier, they will head out on the road to face off against Stryker at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday.
