Silverado and the Trailblazers are an even 3-3 against one another since December of 2014, but not for long. The Silverado Skyhawks will head out on the road to square off against the Durango Trailblazers at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. One thing working in Silverado's favor is that they have posted big point totals in their last seven games.
Even though Spring Valley scored an imposing 57 points on Monday, Silverado still came out on top. Silverado took down the Grizzlies 72-57.
Meanwhile, Durango's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Monday after their 12th straight loss. They were the victim of a tough 61-37 loss at the hands of Foothill. While losing is never fun, Durango can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Nevada basketball rankings (they are ranked 55th, while the Falcons are ranked sixth).
Silverado's victory bumped their record up to 15-9. As for Durango, they have not been sharp recently as the team's lost 13 of their last 14 matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-19 record this season.
Silverado strolled past the Trailblazers in their previous matchup back in December of 2023 by a score of 66-49. Does Silverado have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Trailblazers turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
