The Conquerors' pitcher stepped up to hand the Stingrays a 15-0 shutout. Winning may never get old, but the Conquerors sure are getting used to it with their fifth in a row.
West Florida Baptist Academy got a massive performance out of Stella Moore, who went 2-for-3 with one home run, four RBI, and one double. That home run was Moore's first of the season. Ande Johnson was another key player, going a perfect 2-for-2 with three stolen bases, two runs, and one RBI.
West Florida Baptist Academy always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .741. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.
Meanwhile, Aletheia Christian Academy had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 8 runs) and they went ahead and made it three on Friday. They were the clear victors by a 19-9 margin over Santa Rosa Christian.
Abigail Finley and Allie Reeder did most of the damage at the plate: Finley went 2-for-4 with one home run, four runs, and two stolen bases, while Reeder went 3-for-5 with three runs, three RBI, and one triple. Those three hits gave Reeder a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Katelyn Davis, who went 1-for-4 with two stolen bases, three runs, and one RBI.
West Florida Baptist Academy's record now sits at 16-1. As for Aletheia Christian Academy, the win got them back to even at 8-8.
Everything went West Florida Baptist Academy's way against Aletheia Christian Academy when the teams last played back in March, as West Florida Baptist Academy made off with a 15-0 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Conquerors since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
