Hoosier Hills recap November 5, 2013
Adding to the longest winning streak in Hoosier Hills this week, Columbus East beat Greenwood 49-14. This was the team's 11th consecutive win.
Bedford North Lawrence fell to Bloomington North 49-7 last week, the largest margin of any game.
Columbus East's offense was unstoppable this week, as it produced the league's top passer, rusher and receiver. Alex Cowan threw for 47 and 1 touchdown and JT Voelker had 47 yards receiving. On the ground Markell Jones contributed 130 yards.
Bob Gaddis' team's dynamic duo of Cowan and Voelker proved to be unstoppable against the Woodmen, as they were the top passer and receiver in the league this week.
Seymour's Austin Sutton and Zach Schlatterer led the league in both passing and receiving yards. 5-11 quarterback Sutton has thrown for 1,421 yards this season, while Schlatterer has 36 catches for 828 yards. New Albany's Tuwan Payton leads the league in rushing yards with 2,177.
The Olympians led the league in scoring this week after putting up 49 points on Greenwood. Cowan ran for 117 yards during the win.
