Lena-Winslow was handed a heart-breaking two-run defeat in their last match, but they sure didn't let that happen against Argyle on Thursday. Koby Kearns made a big impact no matter where he played. He didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only one hit while striking out 11 over four innings pitched. Those 11 strikeouts gave him a new career-high. He was also solid in the batter's box, getting on base in two of his three plate appearances with two runs and one stolen base.
In other batting news, Aiden Wild was incredible, going 2-for-3 with four RBI, two runs, and two doubles. That's the most RBI he has posted since back in April. Luke Madigan was another key player, going 1-for-3 with two stolen bases, two RBI, and one run.
Lena-Winslow was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .458. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Argyle only posted a batting average of .143.
Lena-Winslow has been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 19-7-1 record this season.
